The Fighter (2010)

My Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 90%

now i've seen most of the good boxing movies i should say (Rockey, Raging Bull, Million Dollar Baby) and i definitely have to say that this is another one of them. it's was well done and i'm pretty sure it's going to pick up at least a couple of oscars.

Plot: now, in a general point of view, i will frankly say that this movie isn't too unique from most boxing or sports movies too me. but how the story is told and with the king of characters there was, it was unique enough.

Acting:
Mark Wahlberg/"Irish" Micky Ward: Wahlberg did a good job with his performance. though i thought he basically had the same type of character in a way when you think of this film and his part in Invincible, just different sport, characters, strengths/weaknesses and goal (sort of). i mean i don't have a major problem with that. i mean he still did a great job. it just that it does seem a slight bit the same from Invincible.
Amy Adams/Charlene Fleming: after seeing the movie, my mother told me that Adams has done some other movie where she's dome a great job in a film where it's just disney or comedy. and i say it like that because i've only seen her in Enchanted and her brief part in The Office before I saw this movie. and she was a very interesting character. tough, smart girl & all that. so after seeing this movie and hearing what my mom said, i kind of want to see more of Adams now.
Christian Bale/Dicky Ward: dude...i can hardly believe that was Bale. i mean for years i've only known him better in serious roles like in Dark Knight, Public Enemies and Terminator Salvation. and the most different characters i've seen him do would me in Pocahontas, Little Woman that's very cheesie movie Newsis, and Henry V. But i'm mostly focusing on his latest work when I say I can't believe it's the same guy. He was a completely different person altogether. it was just remarkable. just on who the character is, how much he changes throughout the film, and i especially love how they show a clip filming the actual people the characters where based off of, especially his. so i say job well done Mr. Bale, good luck at the oscars and i loved the end of ur speech at the globes when you said that yours was for you daughter.

Editing: It was good. i guess i really can't say anything else than that so yeah.

so that's my review for The Fighter. it was well done, greatly acted, and it had a nice story all around.
